The top 2 draft picks in the 2008 draft met in Orlando, FL to one-sided results. Michael Beasley dominated the entire Bulls team scoring 28 points on 9 of 21 shooting. The 1st overall pick Derrick Rose seemed to struggle as he scored 10 points and had more turnovers than assists.

Bulls fans are panicking all across the state of Illinois. Did Paxson pick the wrong guy again? Not so fast! It's only summer league. Derrick Rose will play much better when the real season starts.

As a Bulls fan I'm more concerned about the play of the veterans on the summer league roster. Demetris Nichols and Tyrus Thomas played well but Joakim Noah, JamesOn Curry, and Cedric Simmons were nothing to write home about. The final score was Miami 94-Chicago 70, which is pretty sad considering the experience of the Chicago roster. Maybe a few summer league games is exactly what these guys need.
